Further Benefits

Stability

Pathogen levels can vary significantly between batches of eggs entering the hatchery. Contributing factors include:

  • Seasonal environment variations
  • Farm conditions
  • Flock age & health
  • Handling
  • Storage conditions (temperature / humidity)
  • Transit time

The Sonas system reduces the impact these pathogen levels have on hatching eggs, leading to a more stable overall process.

With greater process stability, demand forecasting can be optimised and overcompensation for ‘expected’ variables can be negated. Overall costs can be reduced as a result.
