The Health and Safety Executive ‘Summary statistics for Great Britain 2022’ highlights that there are currently an estimated 12,000 Occupational Lung Disease deaths each year linked to past exposures at work.
You may think that these deaths are a hangover from past times but there are “19,000 estimated new cases of breathing or lung problems caused or made worse by work each year on average”.
